A Cargo Convoy

All Captains on each Cargo ship reported in with their bill of lading in hand. The cargo we were carrying was classified so no one knew what they were moving across space. In many cases, it is a good thing but in others it can be dangerous.

Several of the cargo ship did get a chance to swap their shuttle for fighter jets before we departed. In the off chance something were to happen. There have been talks about space pirates in the area, but I think it would be foolish for them to attempt a raid on government vessels. All of that is hearsay, however battle drills and being combat ready is part of our jobs.

Captain Davis lead the convoy keeping the ships in formation as we traversed the flight path assigned. We soon found out that Captain UE was able to determine what was in his cargo hold and announced it on the open channel. Thus that made his vessel the most important one to protect in the event of an attack.

It was smooth sailing with just some minor scratches. I believe Captain UE got reprimanded for his flight path through the mine field around DS00, but I cannot confirm that as I have not spoken to him since we disembarked. For the most part, everyone was in good spirit and all ship's cargo was offloaded successfully.

I suppose this shipment is in preparation for setting up fueling stations in and around the area. I heard the Excalibur final computers were being programmed and should be ready for test flights soon. Furthermore, eight Science vessels have been commissioned too. There has been strife at the council level whether to place our efforts in exploration rather than defense, and some kind of balance cannot be reached. Some of the debates were heated and I believed the council had to adjourn because hot heads was prevailing. As far as we have come with technology, our limbic system seems to still get the better of us still. I'm not sure what happens all in the higher ups, but I'm sure we will get our orders to complete soon.
